Local Race Programme

A growing population of local thoroughbreds has seen greater numbers of stables represented and keenly contested events. BTC encourages and promotes breeding in Bahrain and there are excellent prizes to be won in the local race programme. The key races are the locally bred runnings of The Crown Prince's Cup and The Kings’ Cup, but there are many other targets ensuring competitive well populated races throughout the season for domestic bred horses. This is highlighted by a challenge series for 3-year-old local breds. The series is run over three meetings with increased prize money and bonuses on offer.
